How To Relate With God

Know That God Is Spirit.
Spirit is not bound by space and time. He crosses the heights and depths as if they were flat surfaces, and crosses the surfaces as if they were single lines. God is here, and He is everywhere, just as the sun is up in the space by itself, and also everywhere by its sunlight.

God Is Like The Sun.
He directly relates with every person or creation. Nobody sees the sun for you. Nobody uses the sun for you. And nobody feels the sun for you. Likewise, everybody can relate with God, directly, without an intermediary.

We Are Always In The Presence Of God,
just as we are always in the presence of the sun during the daytime. God sees all of us at the same time. In the same way that you see so many people at the same time. We live in the omnipresence of God, which is the Holy Spirit, just as the sunlight is all around us.

God Is Love, Loving And Beloved.
To experience God more in our life, we must love one another. To love is different from ‘to like people.’ You like people when you admire them, you like the way they are, you are pleased with the way they do things, and you want them to be close to you. All these are good, but they are different from what it means ‘to love people’. To love people means to do something good for them, to attend to their needs, to solve their problems, to give gifts to them, to think about their welfare, to plan and provide for their welfare.

Emulate God.
God is spirit. You are spirit. You are not the body or flesh. The body is not the image and likeness of God. The image and likeness of God is the spirit. This spirit is life; it is light, the light you see everyday, for God is Light and you are also light.

Submit To God.
To submit to God means to submit yourself to God. When you do so, God becomes one with you. His will becomes your will, His ways become your ways. Then God animates and directs all your activities.
Many people who believe in God, have not submitted to Him. Majority of those who worship God have not submitted to Him. That is why we still have crisis, because everybody wants to do things the way he likes.

Take Refuge In The Lord.
To take refuge in the Lord means to trust in God for your daily sustenance, for your needs, for your security, for your wellbeing and for your salvation.

Reject The Ways Of The Devil.
People worship God and still clamour for the things of Satan. That is hypocrisy, and hypocrites have no portion in the kingdom of God. Nobody can enter the kingdom of God until he becomes like Nathaniel, a disciple of Jesus. “Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!" John 1:47

You count yourself as a child of God, but you are still wearing dresses fashioned by the evil spirits, which fashions are abominations to the Holy Spirit. You count yourself righteous, but you still tell lies, steal money, cheat people, deceive people, make trouble and engage in social vices.

Learn God’s Language.
You should be able to interpret prophetic messages that God is sending to you through dreams, visions and trances. It is not encouraging that after having dreams and visions, you wake up to say these things are meaningless; it is just fever; or nightmare.

Understand God’s Time.
Many are always in a hurry to get things done. You want to become rich, famous and great overnight. God does not work that way. Now consider this case: God promised to bless a boy. If immediately after saying this, God had given the boy one million naira, N1,000,000, the boy would have rejoiced and given testimony. But God did not do it that way. God came with His blessing after some years, when the family had no money, even to repair their building. Then God turned a property business of five million, N5,000,000, into a profit of forty-six million naira, N46,000,000.

Speak To God As You Would Speak To Your Friend.
Learn to speak to God during your free times, in your bedroom, on your bed, on the road, in the church, at the office, inside the workplace, at the point of your need, etc. God is always with you, just as the air you breathe is always with you and around you. It is not a must that you have to go to a holy place or church before God would hear you. He hears your thoughts. Your thought sounds like thunder and lightening in the presence of God. In the spirit, your thought is audible and clear like the spoken word. Speak to God as you would speak to a friend.

God Always Starts From The Foundation.
He always begins from the scratch. If necessary, He removes the old foundation and puts in place a new foundation before he starts to build up. He follows due process, but man wants to jump over many things. You rush. You want it now and here. Whatever comes fast, goes fast. On the other hand, what comes gradually, lasts a long time. God does not jump over necessary procedures. He uses evolution, which is the long process of creation. Evolution and creation are one. God creates, and it takes time and process to become manifest.

Learn More About God.
Learn from whomever that knows about God, irrespective of sex, religion, language, tribe or culture. Do you think God would establish different kinds of religion and turns round to ask one religion to kill members of other religion? All religious violence is man-made, and they are not necessary. You cannot change people just by killing them. After you have killed them, they come back to life stronger and harder, through reincarnation. Only experience and time change a man. And that is why God made reincarnation necessary.
The religions suppose to lead people to the truth, but instead of doing that, the churches are busy competing for members, as a result of ignorance. You do not need to compete for members, for in the heavens there is no church. Every member belongs to the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is everywhere. The Holy Spirit is the church of God, and the children of God are the members. Only speak and enlighten people, and do not force them.

Participate In Serving People.
Do not shy away from helping or serving others. That is the only way by which you attain success and prosperity. It is law, a divine command and there is no other alternative.

Avoid Pretense.
16 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here." 17 The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,' 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly." John 4:16-18
Avoid pretense. Avoid hypocrisy. Feel at home in the presence of God.

Be Holy.
God is holy. Therefore, you must be holy. This means that you have to accept only what God accepts and reject whatever God rejects. Today, many are playing hypocrites, because they claim to side with God, but are always busy reaching for whatever the demons introduce to them.

Become Childlike.
